The Boogie Man is a Baby.......

My grands great niece and great nephews and Me...........

I wrote my story over a week ago and pondered whether or not I wanted to share such a personal truth with you. And for me I wanted and need to release this into the element... So here is goes.

Sometimes we just have to unleash and let go in order to move forward. I feel like today is that day.. I need to unleash some things and shake them lose. The reason I believe that this is so hard is that growing up in my era you didn't talk about a lot of things and even in the home you were told not to be opening your mouth about things that go on in the home. So, what that did was make it difficult to really let go and tell somebody about anything that you may be going through  for fear of not being disobedient.

(Isaiah 40:29) He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Yesterday I had some turn of events in my very own place which made me re-visit a place that I don't like to go and after speaking with a 10 year old child about the life she's living made me do an about face on my own sorted past and realities as a young girl remembering things that were left at yesterday feet. This may not be her story I pray not however it brought something out of me so here it goes.

I remember living in Chicago as a young girl and really just kind of having free will in our neighborhood despite the growing concerns of the various street gangs and crime in the late 1960's

This photo was taken the year I was born 1961

Chicago's ghettos in the 1960s were notorious for their shootings, robberies, rapes, fires, joblessness, single-parent families, dreadful schools and high dropout rates, rampant alcoholism and heroin addiction, abandoned buildings and vacant lots .Reference here

A 12 yr old boy took advantage of my innocence  and made off with my innocence

As I had know it. Me a pure and innocence a girly tom boy girl.   I like to be a girly girly with all the frill and girly things but I also liked to get down and dirty with the boys building mud pies riding bikes and enjoying just being a kid.

 My Mom is My Shero:
In Late the late 1960 I remember my mom being this very family dedicated extremely hard working mother who with five kids worked two jobs and a part time to make ends meet. She always said one full time job paid for the care that we received while she worked. My mom is my Shero I have big love and much respect for the woman that she is. She is that Woman in spite of all the odds and challenges of being a single mother with five kids she with stood the test of time to make it happen. She put herself through college she raised her family. She hustled so hard that she became very ill in 1969  She was just worn out and exhausted... Why?? For working so damned hard to keep family together. And I love her for it! It made me the mother that I am.

The Boogie man is a baby

We had two babysitters one for the day and one for the night. Our daytime sitter would come to our place which I loved, mom always kept such a clean eat off your floor kind of home and it always smelled like spring in our place even in the winter.
Our night baby sitter ran a store with kids toys candy and (the Best Dill Pickles in the world) Man...Still looking for that taste. After school she would take us to the store and we would hang out and play eat junk and just really enjoying the play area she had for us. At night we would spend the night and go home at 7am this happened every school night. We had done this for a couple of weeks now she had gotten used to us and we had gotten used to her as well. But more importantly I was finally getting used to being at their incredibly large house with a hallway that went on forever and ever with doors and pretty things everywhere.
Girls like shiny things so we pay attention to every detail. A couple of times Pam the baby sitter and I would walk down the long hallway to the very last room. I remember the first time we went in the bedroom at the end of the hallway I was stunned that there was a really old lady in this grand and elegant queens room. I was taken back at first because as a 7 yr old I had never seen such an old person before. Pam introduced her to me as her grandmother. And I learned that she was blind very friendly and sweet .

The Middle of the Hallway is where the Boogieman Baby Hides:

One night after having been there a couple of weeks I knew we could not walk freely in the house.  We were actually in a large room for us girls that had French glass doors and on the other side were two Doberman pincher dogs that roamed the house freely so at night we were not allowed to be out of the room and Pam the babysitter was in another area of the house. The house always fell quite and peaceful at night.

On this particular night Pam’s nephew who is between twelve and fourteen years old is roaming the house peeking inside where we 4 girls were. He would just eye ball us and keep it moving. Later that night sleep finally came for me but the next thing that I knew, nephew shook me awake and said auntie Pam sent me to get you, she wants’ you down the hall.  I was so sleepy but I  went following behind him checking to make certain the dogs were not out.  They weren’t and even at my age I knew that was pretty strange. When we arrive to the middle of the hallway there was a room I had not been in before. As he opened the door I could see it was a pretty bedroom that was all made up but it was empty and Pam was nowhere in sight.

Nephew told me, just sit down and wait she's coming in a few minutes later I'm sitting there sleepy and ready to be back under the covers. What happen next took me by totally by surprise this boy sits next to me and starts rubbing on my body and I'm thinking to myself something’s wrong with this picture. As I jumped up he grabbed me and put his hand over my mouth and said if you say one word I'm going to get my dogs on you!  Do you want that?  I shook my head so he continued rubbing all on my bones couldn't have been my breast I was not quite eight yet.. He undressed us both and proceeded to climb on top of my body and just do what he wanted. I just laid there not knowing what was going on this was new to me, but some how it just felt all wrong. And I felt like this big boy knows this is all wrong but didn't seem to care. He had strange colored eyes a round high yellow face with reddish hair and the largest eyes and those eyes are what's   burned in my memory.

I as a child was so confused when I got back to my own room I was trying to figure out  what just happened? I knew in my heart of hearts that it was wrong but if I said anything he was going to get them vicious dogs to take care of me. I didn't know what to do so I just kept quiet. I couldn't tell my mom because  I was sure she would probably be mad at me... I was so sure I had done something so wrong that everyone would hate me. I was so confused about what to do heck I was just seven years old.

After months of this, from the nephew (wished I knew the suckers name) I don't... It became the norm as I knew it.  This had been on going on undetected by no one and as a little girl after months of this I began to rather enjoy it.  Something in my body was saying yeah baby.. These were things a young girl should not be feeling one way or the other about. She is supposed to be innocent and pure and untouched.  In my mind I know the only thing which saved me from his continued abused was that in 69 my mom was so ill My grandfather had given my grandmother money to move us all. So my grandmother and aunt came to Chicago and moved our whole family to Portland Oregon. No more of having to see his face with the piecing greyish green eyes because even though I had begun to have mixed feeling about the actual act. I despise this freckled face boy from robbing me of my childhood innocence.

I finally told mom when I was in my thirties and it broke her heart to know that these awful things had been happening to me and also the fact that she had no idea.

Part one is dedicated to Sweet Mama for her strong dedication to family and all people.

Also Dedicated to Sweet Little Z Baby because of you I had the strength to tell my story...

Sweet Hearts Day.....Is it bitter sweet?

 V A L EN T I N E S D A Y............... February 14

How many of us will rush out soon to purchase that special gift for either our selves or someone else.  It's that special day on top of all the other days throughout the year that we get to express our love for that special person in our life.

Many of us including myself  believe that we should express our love everyday of the year. I also think that Valentines Day's gives us and extra special day to really pour it on. To let that extra special person know that we Love them. So whether we shower them with flowers candy and or gifts our loved one knows that they are loved by you.

I have written a piece recently called

Valentine’s Day What does it really mean and how did it get started?

. It is a cap on how it really began which makes for an interesting story to say the least. and if you don't know its not really what cha think.

Take a look http://debrastfo.blogspot.com/2015/02/valentines-day-what-does-it-really-mean.html

The Bloggers Blog: Does Chantix really work? Can you really quit smok...

Chantix really work? Can you really quit smok...: Does Chantix really work? Can you really quit smoking

Does Chantix really work? Can you really quit smoking

Does Chantix really work? Can you really quit smoking

After thirty seven long years I have been smoke free for just over a month now. Has it been easy?

In my 37 years of smoking I have only decided to quick on at best 4 occasions. two were during my pregnancies of my sons. and the other couple of times was when I had been the but of many family conversations over the year's from my kids and some of my siblings/family members and friends. The big question has always been? When are you gonna stop smoking??????

So both of the other times was because someone else wanted me to quit, and I on the other hand was in not ready to stop. The truth of the matter is , is that I really enjoyed a good smoke its kinda like good love making. Yeap pun intended. lol

This time was very different. How so because it's something I wanted to do I made it up in my mind that I was ready to quit. So for the first 3 weeks I used Chantix as I had done so in the past. What I did learn previously from using it, is that with your combined effort of will and chantix you can be smoke free. To me It works very Well.

By the third week I started to feel like I really didn't need the Chantix any longer not because it wasn't helping but because I didn't want to have something else that would allow me to be dependent on it something else yet again. Thirty Seven  years a is long enough to be a slave to something that is really bad for you.

I won't say that I don't get urges and have a its a "cigarette moment". Yes I certainly do.

So, in my fourth week I went to the Hookah Shop and purchase myself an e cigarette in apple oil vapors. and it really got me past the point of I want a cigarette urge. Now I am just a few days out with regard to giving it up as well (e vapors) but what I can say is that it has made my transition that much more smooth in terms of kicking the thirty seven year yr bout with smoking.

What I can say is that the last straw for me was the smell. It was really starting to get to me even after all these years.  I hated that God awful smell.  So what smoking element did I use to kick the habit. In the end it was the smell of it... I used that element to my cause me to give it up!. I made that the reason It would work for me..Quest what it worked.!!!

But the most important aspect of it all is that I must give all my credit to God, I asked God to take the taste out of my mouth- the thought out of my mind and let me move forward with out this old habit. God has given me favor on this one I no longer crave cigarettes at all. Amen.

(Has it been easy) That is a two sided coin

Why because although in studies it often times will say that cigarettes are a very hard to habit to kick, and mainly because of the drug called nicotine. in my opinion It is as addictive as any other drugs like crack cocaine heroin methamphetamine  and so on and so forth. But just like with any drug the drive and determination must first begin with the user of said drug.

o for this reason alone is why it became so easy to me. I am now nicotine free and loving it. I can breath and my food taste so much better. You don't really realize that you give up a lot of your senses of smell and taste when you smoke for such a long period of time.

For me I have a multitude of illness and many are not in my control. But giving up on the cigarettes has always been in my control and my reach..

Thank you for stopping by to read my Press Release. And to those that does smoke it's your choice. choose something you dislike about smoking and use it to your advantage. Good Luck to you

Gresham Oregon bakery discriminated against same-sex couple; hearing set for March

Posted: Feb 02, 2015 4:23 PM CST Updated: Feb 02, 2015 6:14 PM CST

A hearing is scheduled in March to determine how much to Gresham Bakers owe a lesbian couple for refusing to make them a wedding cake.

A Administrative Law Judge is not buying the facts that it is a religious reason and the law doesn't apply to them for such reason's

Two years ago, the couple filed a complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice when Sweet Cakes co-owner Aaron Klein said, "We don't do same-sex marriages."

What do you believe? Does a privately owned  business have the right  to turn people away for their own reasons? Do you think it discriminatory? Let me hear from your thoughts on this very Sizzling Hot topic.

Valentine’s Day What does it really mean and how did it get started?

Valentine’s Day

What does it really mean and how did it get started?

Each year on February 14th, many people exchange
cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “valentine.” The day
of romance we call Valentine’s Day is named for a Christian martyr and
dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.

Saint Valentine's Day

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saint Valentine's Day
, also known as Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine is a holiday observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it is not a holiday in most of them.

The ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, an annual three-day ritual
believed to ward off evil spirits and increase fertility, was held on
February 13 to 15.

Lupercalia (also known as Februatio, which is where we get the name
for our month of February) was popular among many of the new converts to
the quick-rising Catholic Church, and as Celebrations:

American Holidays notes, "Everywhere that [mainstream]
Christians came into power they immediately adapted the holidays and
customs of the people to their own creed” (Robert J. Myers and the
editors of Hallmark Cards, 1972, pp. 50-51).

Such was their course of action with this festival of Lupercalia.
While Pope Gelasius officially condemned the pagan Roman festival and
banned its observance at the end of the fifth century, many of its
accompanying practices quickly appeared in a newly established holiday
added by him to the official church list of feast days in A.D. 496—St.
Valentine's Day.

Soon, people were no longer looking to obtain fertility by being
beaten with strips of animal skin called februa. Instead, they turned
their focus to St. Valentine, the patron

saint of "engaged couples and anyone wishing to marry" (Celebrations,
pp. 48-49), whose actual identity is even murkier than what connection
he bore to romance.

Flowers, candy, red hearts and romance. That's what Valentine's
day is all about, right? Well, maybe not.

The origin of this holiday for the expression of love
really isn't romantic at all -- at least not in the traditional sense. Father
Frank O'Gara of Whitefriars Street Church in Dublin, Ireland, tells the real story
of the man behind the holiday -- St. Valentine.

 www.CBN.Com also weighes in

"He was a Roman Priest at
a time when there was an emperor called Claudias who persecuted the church at
that particular time," Father O'Gara explains. " He also had an edict that prohibited
the marriage of young people. This was based on the hypothesis that unmarried
soldiers fought better than married soldiers because married soldiers might be
afraid of what might happen to them or their wives or families if they died."

"I
think we must bear in mind that it was a very permissive society in which Valentine
lived," says Father O'Gara. "Polygamy would have been much more popular than just
one woman and one man living together. And yet some of them seemed to be attracted
to Christian faith. But obviously the church thought that marriage was very sacred
between one man and one woman for their life and that it was to be encouraged.
And so it immediately presented the problem to the Christian church of what to
do about this."

"The idea of encouraging them to marry within the Christian
church was what Valentine was about. And he secretly married them because of the
edict."

Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured for performing
marriage ceremonies against command of Emperor Claudius the second. There are
legends surrounding Valentine's actions while in prison.

"One of the men
who was to judge him in line with the Roman law at the time was a man called Asterius,
whose daughter was blind. He was supposed to have prayed with and healed the young
girl with such astonishing effect that Asterius himself became Christian as a
result."

In the year 269 AD, Valentine was sentenced to a three part execution
of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian
marriage. The story goes that the last words he wrote were in a note to Asterius'
daughter. He inspired today's romantic missives by signing it, "from your Valentine."

"What Valentine means to me as a priest," explains Father O'Gara, "is that
there comes a time where you have to lay your life upon the line for what you
believe. And with the power of the Holy Spirit we can do that -- even to the point
of death."

So I ask you Sweet or Not. we have adapted this holiday and made it into a sweet festive day for lovers and loved one. A lot of times we may learn that what we thought was the real reason behind a holiday or social holidays may not mean exactly what we believe it to be.

Persoanlly I love Sweet Hearts and and really look forward to spending quality time with my loved ones and although I share my love and passion for them daily February 14th is jus another day that I can really splurge on LOVE

How to clean your Kidney's Naturally

How to clean your Kidney's Naturally

Our kidneys a filtering the blood by removing salt poisons any many impurities from our bodies. Salty accumulates in our system and our bodies needs to go through A cleansing treatment.

I personally know that this works as I have used this system in the past for this very purpose.

This is a very simple way to take charge of your own health, first take a bunch of parsley or Cilantro ( Coriander Leaves ) and wash it clean

Then cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot and pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down and then filter it and pour in a clean bottle and keep it inside refrigerator to cool.

Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.

Parsley (Cilantro) is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

Here are some known fats about Parsley

Importantly, despite it’s many health benefits, parsley juice should not be used in large amounts by pregnant women or those taking blood thinning medication.
There is also conflicting advice regarding using the juice of parsley for people suffering from kidney disease. Some medical resources caution against using too much parsley as it contains substances known as oxalates, sometimes suggested to be avoided by people with kidney problems.
On the other hand, parsley has a long history as a beneficial herb for the kidneys and both the fresh plant and dried parsley tea are often recommended for kidney infections or to help dissolve kidney stones.

Always check with your own Physician before starting any thing that alters your health in anyway..
